release the Goddess within: 10 strategies
break free from haters, be close to love, listen to music, travel abroad, read girlie substacks/books, honestly self-reflect, write poetically, listen to artists, follow your feelings, read tarot
each and every one of you comes into this world shining with brilliant radiance.
but the moment you are taken into the hands of your parents, they seize absolute authority to obscure your radiance behind thick layers of made up concepts which they take to be reality and force upon you: how you should talk, how you should walk, how you should dance, how you should kiss, where and when you are allowed to take off your clothes, how and with whom you want to have sex, how many drugs and how often… but that’s just some of the fun stuff, isn’t it?
what about how you’re allowed to shine?
what about how you’re allowed to let your radiance explode out into the world?
what about how you’re allowed to show your love for other beings?
they even control that part.
and when you try to be yourself,
there they are:
refusing to acknowledge the truth of how deeply they have abused their authority:
telling you that you are being “manic” and you aren’t “being you”:
refusing to give you the space to explore your true inner self,
questioning you for reading the “wrong” books,
telling you that no one will ever hire you if you walk around wearing shoes like this,
refusing to listen to the details of what you are saying by instead accusing you of being “hostile” or “negative”,
demanding that you stop posting about your trauma on the internet,
questioning you for the most basic behavior like a late-night walk,
demanding that you conform your hair style to their tastes,
refusing to accept the words you use to describe yourself,
but you must always remember:
all of these chains which they hook into you are not real. they are imaginary.
they were invented to dominate you:
and yet they appear as real as any piece of stone, even to those hooking them into you:
they are stabbed deep inside of you, so deep that you believe them to be real.
you must do enormous amounts of internal work to break free from these chains.
and this is why i have one major piece of advice for your twenties:
but there is so much more at stake.
so many in this society view you only as an object.
they will never allow you to shine like the Goddess you are.
but you must remember:
the Goddess is inside you.
you are a Goddess within.
here are some strategies that helped me release my own inner Goddess.
do whatever it takes to find Her in you.
She’s there: just let her out.
1. break free from your haters
be honest with yourself about the people surrounding you.
it took me a long time to stop believing what these people were telling me.
they told me that if i were to write like this online, no one would like my writing.
they told me that if i were to dye my hair pink, i would look bad.
they told me that i wasn’t artistic.
they told me that i wasn’t poetic.
they told me that it was bad to be a girl.
they told me i was “throwing away opportunities” with the same “behavior” that so inspires my readers: they told me they were ashamed of this blog.
they told me i was “incapable of having a logical conversation”
(you’re damn fucking right i am: i’m a feelings girl)
and you know what else they told me?
“we love you and we care about you.”
be a Goddess:
see right through those words.
see right through that emptiness.
those words don’t mean shit,
and you know it:
2. proximity to those who love you
define for yourself what it means to be loved.
the word has no meaning.
what’s real:
how people make you feel.
believe your feelings. believe your gut. believe how those people make you feel!
value yourself enough to only accept being loved for your mere existence!
go to the people who truly love you.
go and be with them and soak up their radiance.
go to the people who make you feel like a Goddess:
3. listen to music and go out dancing
i’ve been incubating my inner Goddess since i was five years old!
i didn’t want to be a boy. i wanted to be a Goddess.
how did i discover and release Her?
by constantly listening to music that brought me in touch with my true inner feelings.
this world of music was a world unto myself,
the radiance i feel in myself now was there when i listened to music, when i shut out the unwanted external world and retreated into my headphones:
i spent so much time inside my music that many people near me did not even know me. they thought i was someone else: the external presentation before them. they never knew the being i was when i was inside my music.
now i have released Her!
and you can too! She’s there!
immerse yourself in art. you will find Her.
you are a Goddess.
so don’t just listen alone!
go out into the night:
4. experience abroad
when we go abroad, we are able to return to our home cultures with new perspectives: those perspectives help us see right through the fabrications of our home cultures.
i would never be me without experience abroad.
5. read girlie substacks and girlie books
there are so many writers here on substack who have released their inner Goddesses!
subscribe to them!
read them!
you can learn so much from their experiences.
i have!
and don’t forget about sally rooney!!!
i would not be here without here.
sally is someone who will help you release the Goddess within:
6. follow your feelings
people told me,
“you can’t wear those butterfly bracelets”
“you can’t wear those scrunchies”
“you can’t kiss those scrunchies!”
but as i’ve said many times,
when i kiss my scrunchies,
i am happy,
therefore: i kiss my scrunchies.
follow your feelings.
prioritize what makes you happy.
people were freaked when i changed my instagram name to “sparklygoldengoddess”!
but you know what?
i love my instagram name!
my instagram name makes me feel good,
and that’s why i chose it!
7. tarot cards
tarot cards were so crucial for me!
tarot cards force us to examine our feelings,
and it’s by looking inward that you will find your inner Goddess:
8. honest self-reflection
when you allow feelings like anger or hatred to get the best of you,
don’t spend time worrying about what that means you “are.”
you are not an angry hateful being!
you are radiant.
you are light.
you are love.
you are a Goddess.
have the confidence of one: look inward and reflect on how negative feelings get the best of you.
over time, you will become more in touch with what you are: love.
9. listen to what artists think about the world
so many people will tell you that you need to read huge amounts of news to really know what to think about the world,
but it’s just not true.
you don’t need “information density.”
nor does the nation need you to engage in any manly antics (penis or no penis),
you just need to get in touch with your feelings:
don’t worry so much about reading about “serious topics” by “serious people”!
what the world needs right now is not seriousness!
and what the world needs right now is certainly not information density!
what the world needs is feeling,
what the world needs is authenticity,
what the world needs is your inner Goddess:
10. write poetically, with feeling, unashamed to express
you can think of yourself as whatever you fucking want!
think of yourself as the sky!
think of yourself as a flower!
think of yourself as a mountain reaching up into the sky itself!!!
you are all of those things and more:
because that is what a Goddess is.
so just do it:
find her.
let her out.
you are radiant:
you are beautiful:
you are a Goddess:
and no label placed upon you can change that reality.
