Soul Swirl: St. Augustine/Leo Tolstoy and Hypatia of Alexandria (Caroline in Constantinople/Rome) (Valens killed by Goths) (Hypatia Rising)
in 1853, Charles Kingsley released “Hypatia,” a novel about Hypatia of Alexandria; around that same time, Leo Tolstoy began his journey through writing to the gospel proclaimed
The nature of Hypatia the person: a swirl between Phoebe and Claire?
Clairvoyant evidence of Claire alongside Augustine?
Valens killed by “Goths” - thinking about the term
Caroline as a witchy noblewoman in Rome in the 380s?
additionally - my obsession with the Byzantines makes sense if they repeatedly fucked with Caroline

When I started learning about Valens: Holi 2022
What else I read during Holi 2022 - was I reconnecting with Claire through Valens and Phoebe through the Black Arts? Awakening both the inner witch and Heathcliff?
Hypatia as Cundi: when Cundi touches Avalokitesvara
my reading in February and this painting of Hypatia
was Hypatia actually a lifelong virgin? Thinking about our sources: it’s only men who tell us this. We have no confirmation from Hypatia herself.
Hypatia the virgin: was she tricking them?

wuthering heights brought Tolstoy into a dream world of romantic passion
Buttercup: Dream World Hypatia
Kingsley’s “Hypatia” - about one of the last great pagan witches of the ancient world - brought Tolstoy into a Daniella-esque pure land where he would develop his inner witch
Then Tolstoy begins writing semi-autobiographical, and ultimately his writing leads him to the same conclusion I got to: “the kingdom of god is within you”
St Augustine’s writing also correlates to the time that would have been Hypatia’s golden age in Alexandria - the early 400s - and he is focused on increasingly ethereal themes leading up to “the city of god” — compare to Leo Tolstoy (the kingdom of god is within you) and Eloise (release the goddess within)

who was St Augustine’s so-called “concubine”? And why was Hypatia a lifelong virgin?
