charm has totally been the soundtrack to my summer. like this album is LIGHTYEARS beyond her previous work (except maybe amoeba...that song slaps). i honestly haven't even been focusing on the lyrics that much, i've been so engrossed in the instrumentals and production, so i loved reading this and being able to reflect on the lyrics!!
i also saw her in dallas during her last tour with arlo parks! the concert was honestly so-so, like i'm not sure if she was nervous but she didn't have much stage presence, which is the whole reason i love live music lol. but i just love this album so much (finally got it on vinyl yesterday!) i might just have to buy tickets for her upcoming tour and give her another chance!!
How amazing is this album??? Honestly it also took me a while to really get into the lyrics although several caught me immediately. I 100 percent agree that this album is centuries ahead of her previous work: she is incredible right now!! The last few years Phoebe has always been my number 1 on Spotify but I feel like that’s up for grabs with how much I’m binging this hahaha
I have heard she sometimes gets nervous performing! I know she’s struggled with mental health issues that have affected past tours as well. She was wearing sunglasses when she did the show I went to and she was having a good day performance wise 😎
